Many of us abandon our childhood vision, because it now seems unworkable - an unrealistic fantasy out of touch with "the real world". Others of us have remained loyal to our vision, but have grown weary and dispirited in our fruitless efforts to "make it happen" or "bring our lives to fruition".

Others still, have settled for safe, secure, comfortable "second best" versions of our vision - not as nourishing as we would have wished, not as self-enhancing, not quite giving us the sense of "mission accomplished" fulfilment that would allow us to face our inevitable departure from this life with peace of mind.

The compromise of our inner vision and yearning can be disabling and even destructive - we may even pour cold water on the aspirations of others in a bitter life of disillusionment!

We CAN still be famous, admired, appreciated, successful, wealthy, loved, loving, happy, content, creative, immortal or inspirational! - but as the saying goes "If you want to walk on water - you must first get out of the boat!"
