The Healing Work of "John of God"
The most amazing healer of our era - and quite possibly of any era! - is the
quiet Brazilian man who over 3 decades has earned the nickname "Joao De
Deus" ("John of God"). You can read more about him in this posting to the Cambridge Healing & Holistic Lifestyle Group "CHEAL".
Two healers from Cambridge spent 3 weeks with Joao De Deus last year,
studying his work and receiving personal healing. They will be present at
our film showings this Thursday evening, to tell their own
experiences, and to answer any questions.
Joao does not claim any credit for his healings, he ascribes these to a
variety of "channelled" healing spirits that work through him. You can see and judge for yourself in the three out-of-this-world film clips we will be showing about his work (made by three different documentary makers). In these films you will see...

Instant healing of people with mobility problems - they literally throw away their crutches;
Tumour-removal surgery (including breat cancer) & stitching wounds without
anaesthetic, without sterile instruments;
Eye surgery without anaesthetic, with Joao blindfolded to show that it is a channelled spirit doing
the work;
People operated on by "unseen hands".

We will also be practising our own healing skills in the form of "Healing Touch"
Healing Touch is an intuitive combination of massage/aura/reiki therapy - basic instruction will be provided if you have not done this before).

August 17th : Abundance & Conscious Creation |
A workshop led by Jim Doyle of Different Light on the subject of "Abundance and Conscious Creation" including:
* Limiting beliefs
* Self worth
* Giving and receiving
* Ego versus Essence
* The Power of Intention
* Some personal examples
A short meditation to connect to the Universe will be included.

August 31st : The Healing Power of Illness |
PLEASE NOTE: These evenings are open to people of any religion, spiritual path, or agnostic. The approaches, exercises and practices are mostly holistic, so they sometimes involve opening or connecting to our personal concept of what is "divine" for guidance, motivation and empowerment. The evenings are approached from a "sacred" (= making things "special") perspective i.e. mutual respect and support and respect for nature, all living beings and our surroundings, plus honouring healing (i.e. what we do) as an ancient, socially responsible and sacred tradition.
