This workshop covers:

How to deal with our own hostility and aggression The course is partly experiential, partly expert advice and experience and partly an opportunity to share your experiences and concerns with other participants.
You will have the opportunity to learn and practice:
Techniques for getting into a skilful state for dealing with threatening situations
Assertive communication skills
"Verbal Judo" skills

Martial arts (including Tai Chi) principles that can be applied to verbal or physical confrontation situations
Clarifying and Shifting our instinctive patterns using the art of psychodrama
Insights from the science of Cognitive Therapy
Techniques for lowering hyperarousal (tension, agitation, being "wound up" to fight) & terror
The Course Facilitator Dr. Mike Meredith has 20 years of experience of martial arts and formerly taught communication and assertiveness skills in the University of London.
