We prefer the term "The Survival Self", because our Pain-Body was created to help us survive a difficult time in our life and AVOID ANY IMMEDIATE REPEAT of UNBEARABLE SUFFERING, but now that we are older and wiser it is time to replace our energetic investment in 'AVOIDANCE BEHAVIOUR' with 'HEALING THE PAST' - so that our emotional and spiritual energies can be directed towards self-actualisation, fulfilment of our dreams and secure peace of mind.

Unless we release old internalised distress + heal the underlying wound, the 'survival self' will again and again take us back to [or trap us in!] the 'same old, same old' type of suffering.

Recycling into old experiences of abuse, loss, alienation, trauma or neglect, is very frustrating! - BUT ACTUALLY we are being led back to a reminder of old suffering that was never fully healed... never fully healed because our attempt to heal the old woundedness did not go deep enough, or was not holistic enough, into the original suffering! In this 2-day course you will practice simple techniques for finding and cutting off the roots of unhelpful emotional toxicity + ways to express more skillfully the negative feelings that ARE situationally helpful, plus there will be a unique chance, for those who wish, to confront and safely release some of the bad feelings that have built up over a period of time and are being unhealthily held in our energy-field as muscle tension, negative body language, hostile or depressed tone of voice etc.
